"Dentistry is like trying to create art in the shower" - Unknown
While this is so true, I have decided I need another form of self expression in my life! One with a few less parameters (...1.5 mm deep, isthmus 1 mm wide or 1/3 the intercuspal width, proximal box must break contact by the tine of the explorer....).
So HELLO BLOG!.
I always say things like "Someday I will have time for a blog, and someday I will have time for a pet, and someday I will have time to sleep, or someday I will have time to cook". Well I am tired of waiting for someday so here is the next step!
I already made time for a pet- our kitten Pico arrived and started mine and Matthew's little family in December. He is a runt- and at about 5 months old he is finally 4.75 lbs! (about 3 lbs heavier than when we got him- he kinda likes to eat.) He has an awesome personality and was the perfect addition to our lives. While I have never had a cat in my entire life (my dad hates them...), Pico and I are adjusting to each other well!
I am working on the sleep part- but that "art" of dentistry includes classes like head and neck anatomy which keep me from sleep and make me want to engage in some serious retail therapy on a regular basis.
I am also working on the cooking. I LOVE to do it, it is simply a matter of finding the time these days to really explore that world.

So I am adding a blog to my life in hopes to:

a) remind me of all of the wonderful blessings in my everyday life that I should stop to appreciate and savor.

b) allow for some self expression that does not involve a handpiece, amalgam, composite resin, or a possible "DEFICIENT" on an exam if i express myself in the wrong way :)

c) hopefully inspire someone (even myself) along the way.

I do have to give my younger sister the credit for inspiring me to do this (among about a million other things in my life.)

Now I must return to studying. But I will leave you with some food for thought from the life of a D1:
